Parent Boosters

Verdala International School has an active Parent-Teacher Organisation (PTO) which is also referred to as the Booster Club.   Our primary aim is fund-raising.  All proceeds raised are utilised at the school to help enrich the life and experience of the students.

During the year, parent and teacher volunteers organise a number of events which over time have become annual activities and are now part of the school calendar. These include:

• Back to School BBQ

• Verdala Championships

• Halloween Carnival

• Christmas Extravaganza

• Easter Fun Day

• International Night

The events also allow the school community to gather as a social group and this is particularly useful for new families, irrespective of the grade or section that their children are in.

Membership to the Booster Club is free.  Regular monthly meetings are held to discuss existing and new fund-raising initiatives, and to update the community on current events.

Boosters Shop

The Boosters run a shop, in Middle School which opens every school morning from 8.20 - 8.40am. It is stocked and staffed by parent volunteers. Boosters liaise with teachers to stock all the books and basic stationery equipment which is required in both schools. Items are priced at recommended retail prices. There is also a small selection of snacks and Verdala brand merchandise. All profit goes directly into Booster Funds, which are then distributed between Elementary, Middle and High School, at the end of the school year.
